an audio-visual word-map of the Peak District National Park

Alec Finlay and a team of fellow poets - including Linda France, Geraldine Monk and Alan Halsey - produced a poetic mapping of the Peak District National Park using an innovative combination of walking, letterboxing, renga ‘word-map' and field-recording (in collaboration with Bevis Bowden). Commissioned by re :place, white peak | dark peak is an audio | visual word-map of the Park, and potentially the largest public art work in the UK. A catalogue of the work, containing QR-code, additional commentary and poems, is now available: white peak | dark peak (published by morning star & Derbyshire Arts Development Group, ISBN 978-1904477099).

10 word-map skylines of the Peak District National Park

This companion limited edition artwork consists of 10 exclusive poems by Finlay, presenting word-maps of particular skylines in the Peak District. Published as a suite of 10 lithographic prints, signed, in an edition of 10, printed on Magnani pescia grey, 14 x 19", signed on reverse of tenth, boxed.
